Banana-Peanut Butter Smoothie
Elvis would have loved this…so will your kids. It's better than any milk shake.
Makes 2 Servings
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
1 banana
6 ounces low-fat vanilla soy milk
1 tablespoon peanut butter (no sugar, salt or oil added)
8 ice cubes
2 tablespoons Naturade Vegetables Protein Powder, optional
2 teaspoons maple syrup
Put all the ingredients into a blender with 1/4 cup water and puree until smooth.
Black Chai Tea
This tea is absolutely incredible. It's rich, satisfying and has just enough caffeine in it to give you
a jump start if needed. Try steaming the soy milk and making a chai soy cappuccino. Look out, Starbucks!
Serve the hot tea with Carob Banana Biscotti.
Makes 6 Servings
Preparation Time: 12 Minutes
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 black tea bags (Celestial Seasonings Vanilla Maple Black Tea is good)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 1/4 cups low-fat almond milk, or vanilla soy milk
3 tablespoons sucanat sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1. Heat 2 1/2 cups of water in a small saucepan and add the vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. Bring
to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the sucanat and honey. Simmer for 2 to 3
minutes more, and remove from the stove. Steep the tea bags in the mixture for 5 minutes. Strain into a
container and store for up to 7 days.
2. To serve hot, mix the tea concentrate with the almond milk and heat in a small saucepan, but do not
boil. To prepare a single serving, mix equal parts of the tea concentrate with low-fat almond milk or
vanilla soy milk and heat in a small pan, but do not boil.
To serve cold, chill the concentrate and serve with equal amounts of low-fat almond or vanilla soy milk
over ice.
Breakfast Of Champions
I drink this every morning the way I would a cup of coffee. I prefer to drink this on an empty stomach,
and then I wait one hour before eating any solid food. It really gets my metabolism started and peaks my
energy for a great way to start the day.

1 tablespoon Ultra Green Defense (Probiotic Formula)
1 package Alacer E-mergen-c plus minerals (6grams)

1 banana, peeled and frozen
1 cup chilled water

Frozen Soy-Banana Cappuccino
This is a fantastic twist on regular cappuccino. The banana gives this coffee drink a sweeter and

pre-workout meal that will keep you buzzing through your day.

1/4 cup brewed espresso coffee
1 tablespoon maple syrup, optional
1 banana, peeled and frozen
1/2 cup low-fat, vanilla soy milk
Ice
In a blender, puree all the ingredients with ice to taste, and serve.
Green Chai Tea
Serve this chai tea hot with the Orange Spiced Spelt Biscotti.

4 thin slices fresh ginger
6 green tea bags (Celestial Seasonings is good)
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground anise seed
2 1/4 cups low-fat almond milk or vanilla soy milk
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons sucanat sugar
3 tablespoons fruit juice concentrate, or honey
1. Heat 2 1/2 cups of water in a small saucepan with the ginger, cardamom, anise and cinnamon. Bring to a
boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more and remove from the stove. Steep the tea
bags in the spice mixture for 5 minutes. Strain into a container and store up to 1 week.

Hot Spiced Soy Apple Cider
This delicious apple cider will whisk your imagination to the Swiss Alps for an après-ski experience to

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
2 cups apple cider
6 tablespoons maple syrup
One 1/2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cups low-fat almond, vanilla, or plain soy milk
4 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the cider with the ginger and cinnamon sticks. Add the orange
juice and maple syrup. Let mull for 15 minutes over low heat-do not bring to a boil.
2. Add the soy milk and serve in coffee mugs with cinnamon sticks.
Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie
The very berry flavor of this smoothie is refreshing on a warm summer day after a great workout. You can
substitute any berry you like for a twist on this smoothie.
Makes 2 Servings
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons Naturade Vegetable Protein Powder, optional
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)
Put all ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth.
NOTE:
Freeze cleaned fruit like bananas, strawberries, mangoes and peaches, when they are ripe. This will
eliminate the need for adding ice when making smoothies.
Vanilla-Soy Cappuccino
The flavor of the vanilla gives this twist on traditional cappuccino a slight marshmallow taste. If you
really have a sweet tooth, try adding a dash of maple syrup. On a hot humid summer day, try making iced
soy cappuccino. Simply pour your cappuccino into a glass of ice and you're ready to go.
Makes 1 Serving
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
2 shots (approximately 6 tablespoons) brewed espresso
1/2 cup low-fat, vanilla soy milk
Put the espresso in a coffee mug. Heat the soy milk to 140°F to 150°F, but do not boil. Pour over the
espresso, and serve. Low-fat soy milk steams better than regular soy milk.
