Pomegranate Syrup
This is much better than bottled grenadine. Try it over ice cream, drizzled on roasted sweet potatoes, in dressings, or in drinks like the Shirley Temple or the Pomegranate Kir Royale Makes 2 Cups.


Ingredients:

Juice of 3 pomegranates, about 1 1/3 cups
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice


Instructions:
1. Combine pomegranate juice and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring. Lower heat and simmer about 5 minutes.

2. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice
